Dates: Sunday, June 24 - Saturday, June 30, 2018 Application Deadline: February 17, 2018 What is MIT SEAP? With a heavy dose of the latest and greatest science and engineering research delivered by MIT researchers and lecturers, SEPT reaches teachers in a unique way through a drink of knowledge from the MIT "firehose." The program captures a snapshot of MIT and delivers it to teachers for one week every summer. TYPICAL WEEK:
TWO PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRACKS: MIT SEAP is offering two tracks of study. Both tracks will participate in the same morning lectures by MIT professors. Afternoon sessions will vary based by track and will be a mix of workshops, experiences, and discussions. Track 1: "Broadening Participation in STEM" - Focus on increasing participation and supporting success of underrepresented communities in STEM Track 2: "Bringing Project-Based Learning & Inquiry into STEM Classrooms" - Focus on integrating inquiry-based, student centered learning, voice and choice into curriculum and instruction REGISTRATION FEE: Tuition for the week is $1,450.00 per participant which includes:
