Meet Ms. Dykstra
Susie Nicholson-Dykstra is a science teacher at Broomfield High School.
As an educator, Ms. Dykstra's goal is to make science accessible, relevant and authentic for all students, and to help students improve as critical thinkers, problem solvers, entrepreneurs, effective collaborators and communicators, and agents of change in a dynamic, global community.
Prior to teaching, Ms. Dykstra completed her Ph.D. in biochemistry at Dartmouth College in 2008 where she studied the actin dynamics within the surface protrusions of lymphocytes. In 2010, she completed her MA in curriculum and instruction from the University of Denver through the Boettcher Teachers Program.
